I have to agree with the addictive nature of wood turning. My first experience turning a pedestal for a coffee table could easily have resulted in a very nice pencil blank instead.
I have a series of three 8x10 photos of the water feature in my neighbourhood park, formed into boxes that are 5x7 and hot glued to my entry door. They are very light and haven't budged in 3 years.
I'm anxious to hear opinions, as I have a very similar situation (south facing windows, another building about 15' away with windows that face mine, a need for privacy at night, a window air condit...
Gorgeous. So bright, airy, relaxed and inviting. I love the colours, the furniture choices and the serenity of it all. Your home must just make you happy to be there.
I saw a very interesting slatted wall at the the Interior Design show in Toronto a couple of years ago that was quite similar to what Michelle in Montreal described. In that application, the boards...
I love the final colour choice. It really helps make the fireplace the star of the room. I'm with LBhirise in the suggestion to remove the baseboard around the fireplace. Painting the baseboard in ...
It was a 1247 sq ft 1 1/2 storey house with 3 bedrooms (my sister and I shared the largest one) and 1 bathroom in suburbia. Just like the sitcoms of the 50's and 60's.
Oh my gosh! I did that in my bathroom, continuing the stripes of the shower curtain in a wave around the room. That was in the 70's. Maybe it's best left in the 70's.
This is lovely. I really like the play of full beautiful shelves in the living room and kitchen against the clean spare tables and counters. It allows you to have many of the things you love around...
I've had this problem too. The cause was too much water pressure. I replaced the small aerator at the end of the spout with a swivelling one puchased at the hardware store and the problem was solv...
I think that you need to accept the chairs for what they are, and not try to disguise them. The only modification that I might do is create a band of fabric in a colour to work with the table accen...

I would think that room temperature water would be best, as this is the temperature that wouldn't shock the plants.

I wonder if batting of cotton (available in stores that sell quilting supplies) would do the trick.
Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't the cords be as inconspicuous as possible. I'd really rather focus on the lamp itself.

Oops, sorry. I didn't notice that the larger shades were no longer available.
I think these from Pottery Barn would work well. I would love to see the inside of the shade silver leafed.
I also love the bedside nesting tables in the first picture. Does anyone know where they're from?
