This is brilliant -- the best example of good design I've seen in a while. Love that it's formed of a natural substance that will gain patina as it ages. I could see this fitting into a variety o...
Though the directions say to place saucers underneath the tins, in the photo the tins are pictured sitting atop books, without saucers. Not practical, to say the least.
Better, IMO,...
In France these are called "vide-poches" -- literally, "empty-pockets" and they are great receptacles for all the stuff that accumulates in one's pockets on a daily basis.
I like the exterior view (and that little shopfront) and the (bird?)houses and the quirky lightbulbs and how it's diverse and integrated all at the same time.
Very appealing and *green* designs. And I've been in (and lived in) 100-plus-year-old houses with the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen. Nothing wrong w/that per se, IMO.
Locked, when we are not at home. But both our front and back doors have large glass panes, which would be cinch for anyone to break and reach inside for the latch/doorknob. Safety is an illusion....

Terrific home! I love your stuff, and your scavenging ethic. That blowup of the French coin is awesome!
LOVE! Thanks for the how-to.

Looks like a happy place. Nice colors, nice vibe.

Such beautiful and interesting woodwork. You've definitely given the place a fresher look. Looks great!

Classically beautiful, inside and out. Great job!

Mostly love it, but I agree w/llongo about the stool.
Very lovely nest! Can you give some info about the object that is on your mantle, second from the left? It looks like an unusual clock (?)
