The flower is the nicest, but you can never go wrong with stripes.

I saw this in person last week, and I really liked the size and shape, and black glass, but wasn't a huge fan of the plasticky bottom shelf.

I covered my ugly backsplash with paintable textured wallpaper. It's wipe-able, and I can strip it off the tiles before I move out. Mine kind of looks like grasscloth, but you can get all sorts of ...

maybe paint the 4th wall orange, and do purple with the accessories? Purple rug, etc? The colours look great in the mural, but a purple accent wall might look abrupt. What if you painted the edge o...

I think more house tours should include 'embarassments' - I'll show you my storage closet if you show me your junk drawer... It's good to be reminded that nobody's perfect.

Be careful - the moisture in some glues or paints may cause the cardboard/wood to warp or even bubble. I would recommend covering it with a thinnish textured or patterned paper, and maybe using a s...

Good point - mom is probably more valuable than my drill!

Definitely my drill. Lately, my laser level has been quite handy as well.

You could try velcroing fabric to the wall, like fabric flaps. When you need access to the storage area, you just flip up the flaps.

I voted lamp, but I actually have 'sconces' - not the hardwired kind though, the Basisk from Ikea. They can be mounted to the wall or used with a clip.
