The plants are "lucky bamboo", but they're not actually bamboo at all. They're Dracaena - members of the lily family - and can survive in a water filled container without soil. Pretty cool.
My (apparently unncessary) mouthwash sits in an erlenmeyer flask with a rubber stopper - the unnatural blue hue and the classic flask shape lends a very sci-fi lab-lav feel to my bathroom. Fun!
A little color could liven the room up some. A subtle but graphic mural on the large, blank wall could be really cool! (since it sounds like painting is an option) Or perhaps stretch and hang a lar...
