I spent one Thanksgiving alone when I was living in San Francisco because it was just easier that particular year (I think it was a combination of needing to work that weekend and knowing that I wa...

It looks cool but I agree with akay that it's better as a conceptual piece than a practical one. But maybe the artist never intended to keep it forever, anyway. I haven't read the linked article ...

I think it depends on her personal financial situation and how badly she needs the items in question (and I do realize that "need" is sometimes subjective), but in general, if she's been thinking a...

The coffee table book was definitely one of Kramer's better ideas. Much better than washing vegetables in the shower.

I got a 5x8 rug for my living room and I really wish I had shelled out for a bigger one. My first pick was the upper-right but based on what Rolen the Great just said (and the fact t...

If you're feeling creative, you could make a stencil based on that same design, remove the wallpaper, and then paint the walls with your stenciled design. That way you could choose whatever color ...

I don't think I've ever picked up an issue of this magazine, but that's sad for the people who worked there, and for the people who enjoyed reading it. I still miss Domino every time...

If everyone knows each other, or if it's a casual event, I don't see the point. If you have a lot of people who are strangers to each other, or if it's a formal dinner, it makes more s...

What I would do... 1) Switch the locations of the bed and loveseat (or will the bed block the closet?) 2) Move the blue stand and fish tank to either the kitchen or that little...

Deep peacock blue. But really, you could do just about anything with this (but I'd pick a more saturated color to contrast with the lighter-colored furniture). I love that couch.

I love the look but I too would like to know more about how it works, what it's made of, etc. The Savil site didn't explain any of that.

The furnishings don't do much for me but I do like the color scheme and how you used it, so I gave it a thumbs up. "Ripe Pineapple" is a great name for that yellow.

Maybe once, if the color was just glaringly, horribly wrong. That blue looks just fine to me. I'd definitely give it some time before deciding if you want to paint again.

It doesn't ALL appeal to me, but I kind of like how it makes me think of the beach yet doesn't use any of the stereotypically "beachy" design elements (for example, there's no blue). ...

I don't know if this is going to help you at all. But what about removing all the upper cabinets (you might be able to sell them on Craigslist- they look like they're in good shape?) and installin...

I like the ornaments but I picked up a ton of clearance ornaments at Target after last year's holidays so I don't need more. I also like those small silver candles. The rest- meh. I see stuff li...

I love that sofa.

Gorgeous blue.

Oooh, I want.
