Ha... I can hear the horrified screams through my computer screen.
I have absolutely no experience with this but I think your loft is gorgeous as-is. And while I can't see the magenta...
I actually like how it looks right now. I think I even like it better than how it originally looked. I like the contrast between the white mantel and the dark tiles.

Just looking at that second photo makes me anxious. I could probably walk up this staircase, but coming back down would be scary.
Pretty to look at, but hilariously impractical.
Maybe take that storage unit that's currently in the corner (the one that's holding your albums) and move it to that spot? And maybe hang some art or a small mirror above it? Then move that grayi...
I love that nightstand and I wonder if it's larger enough to serve as a printer stand to go next to my desk. If supplies last long enough to make it to the clearance section, maybe I'll snag one.
Frames will make all the difference.
If you don't want to frame all of them, pick some favorites for your wall and use the rest to decorate your refrigerator or your cube/office at w...
Deal-breakers for me:
- Kitchen or bathroom waaaaaay too small.
- Doesn't allow pets. Or lets you have them, but makes you pay "pet rent" on top of a deposit (I'm okay with just...
Ditto all of the above... plus, the whole thing is probably a lot more fragile now (there may be hairline cracks that are hard to see) so one additional bump and the thing may break some more.
I moved out of SF last year but when I lived there I had an in-law apartment in Sunnyside. I really liked it there. There is a Safeway on Monterey Street and plenty of access to public transporta...
If I had to limit it to five? (I'm leaving price out because that's a given.)
- Location (proximity to services and to work, character of the neighborhood, general noise levels, etc.)...
I have samples of Winter 1972 and Burning Leaves and they both smell amazing. But yeah, they don't last long on the skin (a common complaint with the Demeter fragrances too).
I'm just thinking that taking the curtains down for any reason (like to clean them) would be a big hassle. But I guess if you're living in a castle, you have people to handle that for you.
Ha! I was just going to say that this makes me hungry for hamburgers because Wendy's used to have something similar in their restaurants back in the day...

I love it.
Though now that I think about it, keeping your walls the biegey color and then painting the door the dark slate color might look nice too.
I'm in the "slate walls with rusty-red door" camp.

That is really cute. Great find!
Love the blue walls and the blue door, and the sputnik light.
