After reading a recommendation on another site, we used Watco Rejuvenating Oil on a severely damaged Danish teak dining room table ($20 yard sale find). The results were this side of miraculous.

The book Pad Parties includes my favorite cocktail nibbly- goat cheese mixed with herbes de provence and stuffed into cherry tomatoes. Add a chive "stem" and it's a divine little cherry bomb.

We covered up the fruit and sunflower accent tiles in our rental kitchen with stick-on metal flashing, cut to size.

I've picked up some nice white serving pieces from Portugal at Ross and Marshall's. Also, tons of platters and plates on the vintage market, of course. Estate sales etc.

Hummus (store bought or homemade), baby carrots, tortilla chips.

They make pre-printed garage sale price tags (5cents on up, with some blanks). We bought a pack at Home Depot or something- saves so much time.

Another vote for the Victorinox Forschner. I bought the Santoku version on Amazon, and it is honestly the only knife I use now. It's lightweight, easy to clean, and sharp as heck.

I love the coral with desserts and fruit, but a whole table of it is a little Easter parade. But Russel's Seafoam is so beautiful with just about any food, and white and brown dishes ... my wallet ...

Do you think one could use an electric fondue pot like this one? Maybe for shabu-shabu for two?
