I had a field green salad with bleu cheese, diced pink lady apple, a Quorn brand naked chicken breast, and balsamic vinegar and oil. Needed some type of nut or seed to make it a perfect lunch.
You are so right - it's truly a Midwest specialty. I waitressed in a truck stop in rural Minnesota in high school and on the days that our baker would make sour cream raisin bars for the afternoon...
