I love that 3 can live so happily in a small space. We have 4 people in about 1400 sq feet, and that's a challenge to us sometimes, mostly because of clutter. We're planning to stay for the long ha...

One of our last remaining independent bookstores has a terrific book-a-month program. You can sign up online, so there is no need to ever visit the store. You complete a profile form for the recipi...

Lovely as this is, I don't see a whole lot of relevance for the readers of this site, who all (or mostly?) presumably have small houses and tiny kitchens. The entire main floor of my house would fi...

We have the same booster seat (in blue/green) on the same chairs (Bellini, but ours are dark gray).

Love the pink and red propeller rug in the LR. Where did you get it? Beautiful space overall. Thanks.

These are extraordinarily cute, but could I possibly be reading correctly: 1 cotton duvet cover and 1 pillowcase for $290?!? Uh, that surely costs more than the bed itself. Are there really Apartme...

Beautiful! But are there really people who have $300-400 for one set of children's bedding?

Funny! The McCain doll looks a good 30 years younger than it should, though.

Sunshine here in DC!

Have to agree with CJL. The owner's belief that their bedrooms are small is...well, laughable. Room for a ping pong table? Walking space in the bedrooms? And a kitchen the size of the average first...

And who makes the table and chairs? Very nice for a small space.

We live in Washington, DC, and love it. We moved here for work but now find it a great place to be raising kids. We have a small (1200 sq foot) rowhouse in a very safe and green neighborhood 5 minu...

Our younger child is about to turn 2. From age 1 to 2, his fave toys were a baby doll stroller (to push stuffed animals and dolls around on outside and indoor strolls), small wooden trucks and larg...

Sorry for typo in last post: Porcher Elfe. http://www.porcher-us.com/productNew.asp?prodID=790

We have the featured sink (Porcher Elf) in our small apple green basement bathroom. Love it.

We microwave in small glass or ceramic bowls and then transfer to melamine or other non-breakable bowls. 2 dishes to clean but much safer.

We pay $12 to $15 per hour in DC (in the city) for 2 kids. There really aren't any teenagers who babysit where we live; they're too busy with their highly academic high schools and numerous activit...

I agree: the site definitely looks like one for a discount place. I give their little redesign a lifespan of less than a month. As for the "bright bold colors," it looks like it spans ...

Wow, am I the only one who thinks this chair is hideous? And total overkill? It looks big and complicated enough to house an adult or restrain a hippo. Yeesh. As for the convertibilit...
