yep, paint all the walls white. accent walls are never a good idea...
and if you can't spring for new doors, at least replace the hardware on the existing ones.

i keep my counters as minimal as possible, so I keep mine in a drawer with dividers. also, keeping knives out in the open makes me think...what if someone broke in and saw the knives out?

use sheets of rubber to cover yucky linoleum or tile floors in rental bathrooms or kitchens like I did! it's cheap, easy, and uses a recycled material..
