Now I'm skeptical about how well they'll fit my vintage mason jars... And I want the red! why don't they have that color anymore? It would be cool if someone made lids lik...

Wow those are SO COOL. I wonder if they'd fit my collection of vintage ball jars...

I've had my Chefmate one from Target for years and it's fantastic. I probably paid around $30 for it. You don't have to spend a ton to get a good one!

Oh is that fiddlehead risotto! That sounds *wonderful.* WANT. I just made risotto for the first time, using my slow cooker and a recipe from the Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker cookbook....

I have an Oxo folding grater that I love! The fold is at the top and it has a nice big easy to hold handle, and it fits flat in my drawer. This doesn't seem as sturdy as that one.

The OVUPUR is so expensive! We have an epic water systems ceramic water filtering crock that was about $200 and we've been using it for 10 years! And their customer service is excellent-- highly re...

I made #1 a couple weeks ago and it was great!! Very easy, and it made a yummy week's worth of meals (for 1 person). I used mushrooms and spinach, but you could definitely add nearly anything to it.

why is this made for men?

@natomaton-- that's my sneaky personal rule, too! But, really, I don't care about double-dipping. I just don't do it if others will be freaked out. We're too freakin' ger...

LOVE LOVE LOVE fruitcake!! If anyone has some they want to give away, send 'em over here! My dad makes a yummy lemon sauce for fruitcake. We always have that Christmas Eve after dinner.

I always have breakfast-- but I only feel like eating after I've been up and drinking coffee for 2 hours or so. No rolling out of bed and eating for me! If I'm on campus I'll eat exac...

This looks good, but IMHO, leftovers are all about the turkey sandwiches on toasted bread with mayo and pepper. And maybe some stuffing in there, too. I could eat one now, actually.

Oh this is brilliant! I am terrible at eyeballing pasta portions. I always make too much or too little! I'm going to download it for my ipod touch. And what's up with the cooking snobb...

I made the potato, squash and goat gratin last week and it was **fantastic**. I used acorn squash instead of summer squash b/c it was what I had on hand. I'm definitely making it again. It was fast...

Yeah, that would be a no go for me, too. Devices that do one thing don't make a lot of sense. I also can't wait for a mac tablet that has some kind of wall mount, or that can be proppe...

I recently bought one of these for the side of the fridge and I love it. I have 3 lists on it (1) what's in the freezer (2) what's in the fridge and (3) things I want to cook soon. #3 ...

My dad has always kept butter on the counter (in the cupboard actually) and grew up that way on a farm. It never went bad, and we never got sick. It's not like it ever sat around uneaten for months...

I love it! I have all my dry goods in antique Ball jars as well-- but I don't have the space to display them so beautifully!

Wow, those are nice but SO VERY expensive! I have a different brand-- a ceramic counter top water filter by Epic Water Systems (it cost around $200). I've had it for 8 years, and it's...

My dad who is trained as a chef told me the patina on pans is GOOD and that it makes food cooked on them so much better-- and stick less. Since he said that, I've built up a nice pati...
