Buckwheat hulls! Now all I can think about is those infomercials for the sobakawa pillow...

Like the space, but I too hate that tie shot, which is a shame because I think I love that shower curtain and the lavender walls - I want to see everything! I'm confused about this vig...

I think if you had this and then hosted a raging party, people might end up drunkenly peeing in your tub out of frustration... art - I agree on its trendiness, but there are some cool ...

Stylish and bright, but I think the architecture on your side is tricking us into seeing more creativity than is actually there. It does make me happy imagining the TimTams in your cup...

Her favorite element is the mosaic tiles that we can't see? Is there a photo missing?

Those dressers are gorgeous.

The art seems really well-selected - I love how you displayed paired pieces that aren't so matchy-matchy.

This is such a great post, and just in time for all of our spring gardening projects. Thanks for putting your pets' safety first, Grace!

Not my taste but I had to vote supercool - creative and resourceful. Contact paper on the appliances is such an interesting idea.

I agree with Downeast Suzy. While I love your vinyl setup, these colors seem garish - the red and yellow in that top photo have the "resonance" of a fast food joint. Did the colors p...

Didn't we all get enough of this debate when it was over Arthur's Chicago place?

Lemons are amazing for cleaning! I second the scrubbing with 1/2 lemon dipped in salt. But has anyone had luck with lemon as a hair highlighter? I thought that was an old wives' tale...

"Concrete cell" isn't the most welcoming of descriptions, even if there is claim of a "warm underbelly." Nice space, but the semantics of this entry crack me up.

Ask and check out local regulations, but DO NOT put up any $. If you live in LA, you're already paying enough in rent. RichardinLA - nice work! Your situation sounds great, but I thi...

The asymmetry is too much for me. Rugs are so pricey that I always think of them as luxury pieces - and this patchwork business, while creative and possibly cost-effective, takes away the glamour.
