I work in museums and have collected a few street banners. They are a great way to decorate, but $500 is outrageous! I hope the museums are getting a big cut of the profits.
You could put up two tension rods and create a small area to hang dry your clothes. Hang one above the other to get double the drying room. Then you could hang a narrow curtain to hide it all.
