I would use it in lieu of an iron. I have a family of 5 in a very small house in Austin. Taking an ironing board out and keeping the kids away from it is no easy task.
In the teeny tiny TV corner of our living room. There is only room for a small loveseat, but a soft rug in front of it would give the 3 kids somewhere soft to chill and watch.

I have the "Parsons" in white. It's a great deal for the price, but you should know that it doesn't have a glossy finish.
