Just wanted to mention that I made this cake last weekend for a friend's birthday, and it was quite highly complemented. Being a novice cake-baker, I was pleased to find that the textures and flavo...
I have stripes (purple, magenta, the occasional red/yellow/green on white), white dots on white with fringe, and plain-edged white with a blue dotted pattern. So, I guess count me in the "love" col...
Oh, I like this. I like the use of orange, personally, because I go for bright colors. I agree that it could be a little more cohesive, but I really dig the profusion of green. It's done in a more ...
Holy cripes, that's lovely! I think it'd be even more lovely with a coat of spraypaint, but man oh man. My urge to throw a swanky cocktail party this spring grows...
I like your place on principal because it looks lived in and has some quirky touches... but I think it needs some smoothing out. Shoes, plastic bins, and cardboard boxes are all aesthetic hiccups. ...
I would love to come and hang out at this place; it almost feels to me like an attic stuffed with important artifacts. A treasure room. I like that it has so much personality, but I agree - the dar...
I agree with those who say the couch's design is flawed. What's with the too-small pillows and the bulky arms?
BUT I am very much into the pixel fabric, even on such a large scale piece. I th...
I suppose I could theoretically get behind some nicely designed Blik-type "tattoos" (I agree - they should be called decals) but these are truly tacky looking, circa 1989 Spencer's college poster c...
I came across this same image posted on Danny Seo's blog after following links from another AT post (the one on the patchwork Oriental rug idea) - it's such a lovely idea that I tagged it on my del...
This post makes me long intensely for the four years I worked in a flower shop throughout high school. All the access to stock, phlox, genista, waxflower, and godetia (along with those that made th...
I'm pretty sure I just made a variation on this recipe, which I obtained from the John C. Campbell Folk School, called "Lemon Pudding Cake." It's so, so unbelievably tasty -- though my version cont...
I read this when I was just a wee lass, and I remember writing in my diary that I didn't want to read another book anytime soon after finishing it (unusual for me) because I liked it so much that a...
We had a treehouse in my backyard when I was small. The platform was maybe 5 or 6 feet on a side, and there was a railing around three sides. The back end (which butted up against the main trunk) w...
Mirrored cabinet! Sumptuous fabrics and fittings... and I love those wallpaper panels. I am a sucker for the eclectic class of this room, and while this is not my colorway by a country mile but I t...

OHhhhh I love this. Might be my favorite so far. I'm not into shaggy fur-type rugs, but here it looks so good I almost want to rethink my aversion.
I agree re: the kitchen - the color is great, and the light through the curtains is luminous. Your desk area is probably my favorite, though.
The first photo made me inwardly groan, "Oh my God, yes." Subsequent photos did not disappoint. I would live here in a heartbeat.

Oh man, I would jump at the chance for access to a library-themed love hotel room. Seriously. (c.f. that scene in Atonement...!)
