either ascenseur pour l'echafaud or before the rain. my receiver from 1983 seems to not be receiving all the time, so i am in the market for a new one....

ginger root tea with honey and cilantro is also good. i boil it with the cilantro, then add fresh sprigs in the cup to make it look pretty.

who made the paintings over the fireplace and the bed?

that is stunning!!

this is more of a space suggestion than a green one. i have a full-size it bed. takes up very little room when not being used, standing on end in a corner.

ah...music to help me sleep at night...news to wake me up in the morning. my bedside boombox is failing.

red swiss chard smoked salmon green onions red bell pepper to cook up in an omelet mmmmmmmmm

johnp, probably you should post your question in the open thread section (if that is still part of the new web design).

this is wonderful! that balance between scaulding and freezing is often hard to find. keeping it would be fantastic. i wonder where one can buy such a thing.

unless i know the recipient actually needs some thing, i try to give consumables--candy, wine, other goodies--so that they can enjoy the gift and not be stuck with more clutter.

Rags from old clothes, sheets, towels, socks, whatever. use them and wash them. i can't figure out why people buy cleaning cloths, i've got more than i can ever use. sheets are particularly good...

Akron-Canton (CAK) has free wi-fi. and no requirement to agree to any terms!

john and yoko, "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)." if only. white.

love it!

are they LED?

oh, but check out the designers' website--they make fantastic dishes and so much more than this vase (which is kind of ubiquitous)!! (the silver umbrellas are to die for.)

hmmmm, maybe a lazy susan would be a good use for an old turntable and LP....

i don't understand the need for the bags for the scoopings. i scoop the litterbox offerings into an empty coffee can, then dump it in the toilet--could just as easily dump it in the wastebasket.

how about less plastic and more rechargables?
