we did canvas art. you can stretch textiles across a frame, or even check out some of the prefab art from urban outfitters. (check out the Wild Things, and Giraud canvases.)
I have this bedding in twin, and I think "complement" is the key phrase. You don't want to get too matchy, maybe just a hint of pink like this (there are LOTS of great other options in this shop):...
I agree: $200 bucks is plenty to pay.
It cracks me up when people think they can get tons of money for any old piece of junk they label "vintage" or especially "danish modern." I fin...
wow. i think the exact opposite of taritac: the use of color is what blew me away. it's not over done, so everything with color feels so important and really stands out. I was just thinking that...
My favorite all time AT comment had to do with using pops of color to move your eye around the room. Right now, your eye just gets stuck on the chair, but just a few well placed accessories would ...
ahhh... a lot can be done with "good bones." wood floors, bay windows, white subway tile... these are the things i dream about while stuck renting a house from the 80's where NOTHING has taste. ...
Love the shelves! They look great.
And to weigh in on the designer's photo, I'm glad it's included. It humanizes and personalizes the design. As taxi driver said, it's a lovely remi...

Ha! We did this exact same thing with our table. Our chalkboard paint has chipped though, and was never very easy to write on... is one kind of paint better than another?
I'm curious about the twin bed. That's exactly what I want for my daughter's room. Is it vintage? If so, how did you determine if the finish/paint was safe?
(I have written in a cou...
love it so much. love the grey paint with crisp white trim, bright orange door, and silver/nickel accents. everything works together perfectly. saving these pix to my inspiration file!
I'm thinking taupe and white. My cousin has this color tile in her kitchen and it's painted a deep taupe with lots of white accents, and it looks awesome. The right shade of taupe is key, hers is...

i loved the look of these but the are miniature - only 9 inches wide! thank goodness someone pointed that out in the comments.
I think you need a crisp, light silver grey. That's a dark sofa, and I'd steer away from anything too dark. Keep it bright and crisp.
