I'm not a huge fan of octopus in most dishes - the flavor is a bit too plain for me - but I do love takoyaki. The dancing bonito flakes on top make me giddy.
I'm not concerned. When I prepare food at home I'm very careful about cross-contamination and cleaning (which is probably why my hands are always dry and raw from overwashing), and I'm pretty picky...
Chicken and stars, Cheerios, and orange sherbet. Though I didn't realize that sherbet has any dairy in it until the last time I had food poisoning... Definitely not the best comfort food then!
Well, it just wouldn't be a day that ends in -y if we weren't finding new ways to mock the fat!
It would be nice if people would get off their soap boxes and worry about REAL global is...
I'm with eprewitt - I love masago and tobiko, but ikura just doesn't do it for me. I could barely make it through one piece of ikura sushi when I tried it.
I've always been extremely picky. Just off the top of my head, a few of the things I used to hate but love now are: mushrooms, any kind of fish, anything spicy, and curry. I still absolutely despis...
My mom bought a cheap little snow cone maker years ago, when I still lived at home in Indiana where the summers can be very hot and humid. It couldn't have been more than $35, and the "snow" came o...
I'm lactose intolerant and have no problem eating MOST cheeses. However, extremely rich cheeses like gorgonzola still make me sick. I don't know if that's the lactose intolerance or something else,...
I still don't think I could do it myself. I can't even eat lobster from the shell - I don't like being reminded that the tasty meat I'm eating is basically a giant sea bug.
My husband and I almost always watch tv while eating when we're at home. I don't buy that it's disrespectful to each other - one of our favorite ways to spend time with each other is to appreciate ...
I grew up incredibly poor - on food stamps and welfare. American and Kraft pre-grated parmesan were the best cheeses my family could afford. I may have more money now, but it's still a nostalgic tr...
I want that wall-mounted desk SO BADLY and have for years, but I'm confined to rentals for the foreseeable future and don't think the walls could take that kind of abuse. =( Some day....
I don't generally like beer, but I haven't tried many varieties. However, I know I like cider. Are pale ales similar to cider at all? It would be nice to have a beer I could actually tolerate.
I moved across the country last year with no furniture aside from my old mattress, and had very little money to furnish a new apartment, so unfortunately most of it is IKEA. As I save money, though...

Also forgot to add: White rice slathered in canned cream of chicken soup, minus the "cream" (i.e. no milk added).

Another gem at Pike Place Market is Piroshky Piroshky. The potato/onion/cheese piroshky is absolute heaven.

Wheat Thins, or Trader Joe's equivalent, Wheat Crisps. I love them because even the plain variety is great by itself, no dips or toppings needed.

Artificial sweeteners give me migraines, so I avoid them.
It's hard to choose just one, and the survey won't record my vote anyway, so I'd say mine are teak and walnut.
