Halfway decent floor tiles will run around $4-$20 per square foot for materials only. This is much cheaper, though no doubt the labor was much more expensive than installing tile.

I'm with sunspot. You can buy CFL bulbs in a variety of color temperatures. It sounds like those who complain about them made up their minds many years ago when they were, admittedly, pretty bad....
I use SR80s at an office with no problem. I don't listen so loudly that others can hear and the open design allows me to hear when someone says something to me. I like to still be aware of my env...
I'll second the A2s. I'm listening to them right now and think they're pretty good for the money. I sort of wish I had plunked down an extra $150 for the A5s, but figured these would do just fine...

Anyone who whips out their iphone's large, bright, distracting screen in the middle of a movie deserves to be pelted with all manner of available projectiles.
Why would you want to give up 120 pixels in the vertical direction? On a WUXGA monitor, that's over 230,000 total pixels. When watching a 16:9 movie, there's no stretching or covering up involved...
esseeayen is correct, dimmable CFLs are expensive and would not help. You can easily put in an inline rocker switch available at any hardware store for $2. It'll no longer function as a touch lam...
@Nouniard, for the Dell, I'm getting $1543 with your upgrades.
It's also worth noting that with most PCs you have many more options, so if I don't want an illuminated keyboard (and w...

I actually like the one in the first image better, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Doesn't matter; I'm not not in the market for a coffee table right now anyway.

@ebanfield, not until they are all scanned and digitized (and freely available to all!!!) and that's a long way off.

Good luck, this is your last chance to pass 2.2 before 3.0 which will be pretty different.

@matt, agreed. wtf is "pure air"? Air is mix of many gasses and particles and isn't so specifically defined as to possibly be "pure".

It's a concept by an Industrial Design student. Why write about it like it's an actual product?
Yes, go! I've been twice already this week. It's worth it.

uh, "we" is first-person.
That first piece does Mondrian's work no justice. For 3d interpretations of Mondrian, Reitveld's Schroder House is much more refined...

Without a budget, this is an impossible task. Take a look at the breakdown on this forum post over at head-fi:
