Great suggestion MsAmanda. I will have to try that myself. It's really hard for me to get out of symmetric layouts--that's a perfect way to visualize it.

I use mine as a bedside table, with the top surface for my lamp, phone, keys, and the bottom rung for my books. I love how sturdy it is!
