oddly enough i had a couple of lamps that wouldnt work with cfls....i have no idea why. so unfortunately, those have to have the incandescents. you may end up with the same problem.

in my experience when hunting for stuff, rss is too slow. it has a delay. if you watch a website and its rss feed, its usually a post behind.

unfortunately i'm not sure solar panels would work very well in dc...probably not as cost effective as some other options.
