One thing that concerned me is the rule of a room should be "all warm colors" OR "all cool colors" Anyone else agree or disagree?
I wouldn't do neutral. With neutral cherry (matching table and chairs) and a similar color floor, you really need some color in there. I would consider navy blue or possibly a bold lime green

we have the same concern. I have been told as long as spills are cleaned up, you'll be fine. It's more resiliant than you would think
