It sounds like you have found a solution--you said it yourself, "I do want her to learn that the high chair is a place to eat, not to play." Sitting with her and eating, offering more food, sippy ...

We've been water painting for a while and it never gets old! My boys have a roller to "paint" the house as well as a couple of spray bottles to help them cool off. We also use real paint (Crayola...

1. No bedskirt 2. No mini blinds-proper window coverings like a nice shade or floor length curtains. 3. Move the dresser-looks too big and chunky so close to the window 4. Diffe...

I often nursed in my rocker and used a Boppy nursing pillow, so my rocker had to accommodate the width of the Boppy--I had a no-name rocker, traditional style. A LOT of rockers are wide but not wi...

Yes, we have one of these as well in my 7 yr old son's bedroom. He loves to use the compartments to stash things from his younger siblings.

I really like the chairs...however, and maybe it's just me but I think the wall decals clash with the origami mobile which clashes with the flag banner which clashes with the chandelier. All that ...

What a lucky little girl to have her dream room! Oh I bet her friends are so very jealous! Now Neha has set a precedent on fancy princess rooms, all of her friends parents must hate you (in a goo...

I really like how it is Pink, but Not Too Pink! Those colors and graphics can "grow" with your daughter for sure--leaving wiggle room to change out some of the furniture or whatever you may need a...

I love the painted Mandal dresser from Ikea. I also had that idea because I did not want the black drawer fronts. Did you just sand, prime and paint?

I've always used the dishwasher as well--TOP rack only, in a little basket that came with the machine (they sell them at hardware stores if yours doesn't have them.)

LOVE the bedding and the owl theme as well. The branches overhead mobile and mushrooms on the dresser also add a nice woodlands vibe. Your son has a very cozy spot in the house!

ilima, No matter the size of the structure, my understanding of building "eco-friendly" or "sustainable design" all comes down to the materials used and how a majority of the energy is obtain...

Definitely keep the baby-he is super cute, then let a friend borrow the Bumbo seat. Just kidding! That's the first thing I thought of when you posted your question. I say keep both photos--why not?

Yup, I agree. Very cute idea and what a hit they will be at my next party!

OMG-so cute! What was in the "apartment" before the dolls moved in? Very clever use of space. Shut the doors and, Voila! All cleaned up!

Mmmm-mmmm...I like them all! Makes me want to have a 3rd baby just to try out that snazzy crib/changing table combo and boot my 2 boys to a bunk!

That's fantastic! VERY clever indeed.

I am sorry and by no means were my comments intended to "bash" you. I only meant that if your photos were to provide "design ideas" as you say, then placement of art in glass frames and mirrors sh...

Jennifer-this drives me crazy. I read all the posts and I agree with the people who commented on your placement of photos above the crib...then you said your baby doesn't even SLEEP in the crib! ...

I personally love the idea of grey as a neutral with a modern twist. Plus, this color will grow with your child very easily-something to think about...baby blue and lilac will only take them so far.
