Wow tropicalcyclone- having a rough day? I think the fainting couch is way too big, but I LOVE the peach Dunbar sofa. Oh and the pattern on the chairs.

I made it to a screening on Thursday and I have to say, it was really charming. I loved the book, so I expected this to be a bit watered down, but the "Julia" parts were so vibrant and lovely. Amy ...

This post makes me so happy. Well done!

Paul- some people have severe allergies to chlorine (myself included)...so your "ill informed" comment is way off base. Perhaps they just don't want to deluge their bodies with unnecessary toxic ch...

I buy vanilla beans from ebay, too- I've had a great experience with those ones and the price can't be beat. They come 25 to an order, and are vacuum sealed. I didn't expect much when I first order...

Oooh my living room would totally appreciate this gorgeousness! Count me in, please!!!

Oh man...someone in my building once took out a load of wash while it was still washing, threw it on the dirty laundry room floor and then set an open bottle of bleach on top. Buh-bye load of laundry.

I would say go for something neutral and then bold pillows/rugs/art/throws. That way you can change it around without a huge committment.

My roommates and I are throwing a end of summer/happy graduation shindig for lots of people, mostly foodies (about 35 have rsvp-ed)!!! I am using the party as an excuse to make all the wonderful fo...

Oh man. As I write this from my 300 sq.ft. live/work studio, the green eyed monster rears its ugly head. Not that its at all my style, but I'd give my left arm for that much space. Even just the ou...

Hahaha oh man. Brilliant. Just make sure to hide it before the parents come to visit.

Here in Boston, we have a little stoop where we spend most nights when it gets hot out. My method has been prepping that night's meal in the AM before work, so I have pretty much everything ready t...

Oh man, reading this gives me the creeps. My darling husband just invited a friend of ours (who has to move out of HIS apartment because his roomate has bedbugs) to live in our guest room until he ...

I really really disagree with this. I'm all for finding inspiration for design in unexpected places, but this just seems disrespectful. I mean, soldiers who have to wear this pattern think of it as...
