The fainting couch really was hideous. Too big and blocking the fireplace--for shame! The decorator's original room was swoon-worthy. Loved the dark grey and peachy palette.

I agree with bepsf, I wouldn't be able to pull off a no-medicine cabinet bathroom due to space concerns. It is possible to frame out your medicine cabinet with moulding.
brooklynjennie, they do...it's called IKEA (I kid!). Seriously though, it's tough to run an independent store in NY and price things affordably given the overhead involved.

I did the black chalkboard paint backsplash last year and absolutely love it! It made such a dramatic difference in my tiny kitchen.
