I wish I was surprised by the fact that, aside from Honolulu, all of the USA cities were in California. I figure I'll rent for the rest of my life (which, don't get me wrong, has a huge number of ...
I cook mine in a little bit of butter in a non-stick skillet and put a lid on them for part of the time. I do flip my eggs, though; I figure out how to do it sans spatula by tossing it with the pa...

My solution is a chair for not-clean-but-not-dirty clothes and laundry baskets in my bedroom and my bathroom so that there's one present wherever I happen to be changing. It's still not perfect an...
ICThomas, I like ramen with an egg in it, too!
My go-to dish for the "OMG, no time to cook!" nights is pasta with butter, parmasean and an over-easy egg. I've been eating that a lot...
I really need to do this, or rather, have them bagged and ready to go since I go to the gym first thing and change there. I'm just very rarely that "with it".
I think the Utne Reader and several other sites I've seen probably have it right: people like books as a physical object. The content will end up in all sorts of formats, but the object is irrepla...
@JaneLane you're not strange, I hate sleeping in someone's arms, too. I overheat really easily and tend towards sleeping sprawled out on my stomach anyway so it just works better to not sleep ON o...
@Kateri You are not alone on the diet soda! I'm a Diet Coke fiend. I keep trying to kick the habit in a half-hearted way but it just tastes so good: cool, not-too-sweet and refreshing. If you g...
I tried some recipes from the Ad Hoc cookbook.
Pickled red onions: winner! These are OH SO GOOD.
wine soaked raisins: nice burst of sweet anise flavor for salads.

I'm a fan of folders on a harddrive that's regularly backed up and the best of them posted to Flicker in sets labled "Hanging out", "Travel", etc. I tend to lose disks.
