No one has commented on what to do with the stairs. I would run a runner up them (or wrapped, if they're the type of stairs you can see through). The carpet will soak up the noise that comes from h...

I just want to know where he got those beautiful blue eyes.

Just lovely. Where did you get the pillow (greens and red on a white background) that is resting on the blue chair? It looks familiar, and I'd like to track one down if possible.

This charming space is a great example of home-spun sophistication. You have a lot of stuff, but it's so beautifully organized to look light, airy, and cozy. Oh, and I like the dog in the planter too.

And don't forget a roman shade, in a white linen perhaps, to visually warm up the window and make it look finished. I think the white walls are just a bit too stark. How about painting...

I dunno...it just isn't coming together quite yet. The pictures are too high, and it still lacks cohesiveness. Why not remove one of the bookshelves, and move the remaining one against the window w...

I agree with brand-eye. I've used the frosted film, purchased at Home Depot, and it has turned out surprisingly well (inexpensive, easy installation, excellent visual effect). You might want to con...

I like the way you have provided exterior shots, as well as interior ones. Nothing like showing the indoor/outdoor relationship, especially since you designed your front door yourself. Very impress...

I have a back-lit address light that I leave on all night in case there's an emergency and the ambulance/firetruck/police have to find my house in a hurry. I leave it on from dusk to dawn.

I'm just glad to see people finally discussing the issue of just how much space one actually needs. Up here in Vancouver, things have gotten really out of control. Because the land is so expensive ...

Forget about the stool; I want to know about that rockin' chair! I think the fabric choice for the stool detracts from the entire look – the fabric is simply ugly, and doesn't com...

I'd never get rid of my land line. I have small children, and if a sitter had to call 911, I would want the operator to know exactly and instantly where the house is. Same goes with my elderly pare...

I'm with JulesDC. You have to read the fine print in your contract. Usually there's a clause in the contract that gives the tenant an out, and no reason has to be given for moving. In my province, ...

It's a beautiful use of whites and woods, very calming. However, not having a railing either in the loft or down the stairs would freak me right out, and would definitely flunk a building code or i...

Just delightful. I love the blue fabric on your MCM living room couch and matching chairs. You certainly have a knack for creating visual vignettes.

I must say this is loveliest apartment I've ever seen posted on AT. It has such personal style, and the dog is a nice touch. Beautifully photographed vignettes.

It's most likely the drywall screws popping out of the studs, which explains why the dots are evenly spaced. I don't know why they are black, but it might be due to moisture in the ceiling, which w...

You don't mention whether you have actually sat in the chair to test for comfort. If it's comfortable, then by all means purchase it. In my experience, however, I find that rocking chairs take up a...

You can buy frosted glass spray at Home Depot for less than $10/can. You need an even hand to get an even look, but I have used it on windows for when my office clients have wanted frosted glass on...

I believe it's Rejuvenation Hardware in Portland, Oregon you want to investigate:
