I could see using it in a bedroom, next to the closet. To hold hangers when you're putting clothes away, and then your robe at other times. Not for $40, though!

Ha my parents ALMOST named me "Abigail" before they realized my initials would spell "ASS"! They were kind enough to change their minds at the last minute.

I stumbled upon a great antique shop the other day: "Pippin Home." The address is listed as 112-1/2 W 17th St (1/2 because it's located down a tiny alley). The prices are beyond reasonable, there a...

Is it just me or does that book article sounds sort of like a trend article from Vogue? It's written in the same style, but with books rather than the latest handbag.

I think it's clever but the glass top does nothing for it. Maybe a brushed metal top would compliment it better and make it rather industrial themed?

Eh... I don't like that particular appliance to be memorable in any way. Clean and unobtrusive are adjectives I'm looking for here.

The few times I've wanted to buy something from Urban Outfitters (such as curtains, upholstered furniture) I saw online, I was incredibly disappointed upon visiting it in the store. I just don't li...

I like the effect of the "pixels" towards the top of the windows, in the smaller spaces. But I find the overall effect disappointing. I don't think they need to show saints, but by breaking down st...

I like 2 and 3. 8 is cool, but I think it could get dated. Also... I kind of like the pink fabric, but the silver paint had to go.

I know this is a long shot, but I might as well ask... a couple of months ago a link on this website led me to a specific print I have since remembered and coveted. I wish I bookmarked it, but I di...

I disagree about the picnic tables; what about splinters?? I have a cherry wood table that has developed a lovely warm color over the years.

While I think this would be stunning in the right setting right now, I could definitely see it getting overexposed and tacky very quickly. Wow, imagine this at an outdoor wedding after dusk. ...

Just wanted everyone to know that apartmenttherapy is largely responsible for my growing paranoia about bedbugs. It was almost unbearable when, a couple of weeks ago, I found a note from the landlo...

Wow, I actually really like it.

My neighbor and I put up flower-shaped string lights on our shared fire escape. It can be plugged into either apartment with an extension cord.

Ug, I just got a notice from my landlords that my building might have some bed bugs. None in my apartment yet, nor in my immediate neighbors', but what are the chances the infestation won't spread?...

I don't like this place. He tells you every piece of furniture is mahogany, even when it's clearly a piece of junk. And a lot of it is junk.

I'm a huge fan of cherry, but I also worry that you'll go overboard with the wood. If it's the last wood piece you intend to buy, and there aren't too many others in the room, I'd say go with cherr...

I think Wende is right on the money! It elicited a chuckle, but come to think of it, I couldn't really imagine eating dinner off of the image of a garbage truck. Cute, but not much long-term potent...
