Ikea silicone-tipped tongs are good for just about everything: long enough to reach in the oven, flat tops for scraping and deglazing and flipping, slotted for draining. They're probably in my hand...

Your tip about slicing these up finely seems like a good one: I added them whole to a curry dish, and later to a stir-fry and the squidgy, gelatinous texture was a little much!
Mrs. Grass with an egg cracked in and swirled around. In fact, I want eggs a lot when I'm sick. Soft scrambled, fried on a sandwich, whatever. That extra dose of protein is the key to recovery!
The flour seems all well and good (tasty, nice gluten development, but still made a damn fine cupcake)
