When I lived in a teeny tiny flat in Helsinki I had no counter space, so I stored my toaster in a top cupboard and had it on the table when in use.
Friends of mine have it on their win...
I've always liked the idea of these - never managed to make one properly though. You can buy them readymade in litre cartons here in Finland - yummy berry ones.
I have yellow Teema plates, and I love them. They look farmhouse-y to me, and food looks good on them. As a rule I don't like white crockery, although cream is ok.
I do keep a few small jars to use for homemade jam and chutney, but I don't have space to store lots of empty glass jars while waiting for the next round of jam-making. I recycle the rest.
I love goose. I've only had it twice (Christmas in Germany!) but it was wonderful - like a big, greasy chicken.
Duck is also excellent if properly prepared.
I just wish ...
Nice idea if you're desperate to personalise, but don't they make the paint fade unevenly? i.e. when you remove the decals, aren't there darker spots where they were placed?
I love doing laundry! It's so easy, and it makes me feel virtuous (like I'm actually doing some housework...)
I don't like vacuuming, but I reallllllllly hate washing up.
I love Astrid Vladi's method! But I must admit that I love leftovers, so I don't mind if there's tons of stuff left over. And in common with most everyone who commented, I prefer having too much on...
I love peach-pip floors! They're really beautiful, and the ultimate in recycling. I used to work at an open-air museum in South Africa, and the little dairy had a peach-pip floor. Except it was don...

Only thing I like about this place are the parquet floors - and not for any design reasons, but simply cos it reminds me of the house I grew up in.
Never.
I think the only ones that work are sheer, or of the panel variety - a "nominal" curtain/separator. Can't stand the look of drapes in a small space.

UHT products taste weird. I'd much rather go for fresh, normally pasteurised dairy.
Just loose in a drawer.

Beautiful!
Thank you, featheropleather, for a very therapeutic laugh! Highly entertaining.

Yup, I'm with bonjourmiette. I thought it looked like now, but so ugly that it was easier (and more comforting) to believe it was the 90s!
