@megnez - that's actually a good idea. I did "remove" one door when my brother broke the hinge by leaning on it too hard. It's the cabinets where I keep my pots, so it was easier just to reach in a...
This was dinner tonight and so yummy, even though it's still very warm outside (upper 80s). A great alternative to the usual pasta-alike recipes for spaghetti squash.
I use the ginger frequently, and also bought the dill. They store well in the freezer. They're more useful for herbs that are well integrated into a dish rather than as a garnish or in something wh...
When you or people you cook for are on a diet, the pasta measure is helpful since most of us can't eyeball the standard 2oz (!) serving. I like my Tupperware spaghetti keeper that has a 1- or 2-ser...
I have two cats so part of my routine is to leave out for the catsitter the tuna for mixing in their glucosamine, the little dishes and a fork for dishing that up, the odor/stain spray and some rag...
Thermometer is heading northward of 90° this weekend, so I will try out two new recipes: chilled cucumber & tomato soup with fresh dill, and BLT salad with avocado dressing.
This looks awkward. I loathe slicing tomatoes so my friend bought me a tomato slicer from Target that's sort of like an egg slicer without the hinge. It works pretty well.
When I was a kid my Australian friends introduced me to a tuna curry they ate as a kind of comfort food: brown some onions and garlic in butter over medium heat, add about a half cup of frozen peas...

I will be trying like heck to avoid consuming any turkey and cranberry deli sandwiches so I don't burn out before The Day.
Thanks! I am on a big biscuit kick lately.
Yum! Another good pantry staples recipe.
Ditto!
Thanks for this! Now I just need to figure out how to seal the top of my glass with those wacky character-adorned plastic circles...
Sounds good, and I think I actually have all these things in my pantry right now.

To mince herbs I usually roughly chop then put them in a cup or ramekin and mince with kitchen shears. The oxo gadget looks fun, though.
Adore limeade. I believe the traditional Indian recipe for "lime water" includes salt in addition to the sugar.
Yum! I have yet to make a bad recipe from Olive. Just wish is was not so pricey here in the US.
