I bought a "defective" memory foam mattress off of eBay. (The kind that have a couple of little bubbles or are colored funny.) Best $200 I ever spent...and still incredibly comfortable, four year...

But it's really funny!

I've done this. I bought a microsuede couch last year, and I have two cats, one dog, and a little kid... So, yeah, despite being careful, there have been messes! All the cushions are zippered, s...

I don't think it's contradictory. Just because something is simple and uncluttered it doesn't necessarily follow that it has to be sterile and uninviting.

Absolutely, positively, no freaking way. No "deal" in the world is enough to make me go out...it's just stuff, and it's just money. I do all my holiday shopping hassle-free online.

Those are so lovely!

A hand-me-down dining table set. It's solid wood, and incredibly heavy. While the styling and dark stain are dated, it's such a quality piece that there is no way I'm dumping it. I'm planning on...

YES. Because usually when something is trendy, it will suddenly become exactly the opposite just as quickly.

The "bedrooms are only for sleeping" is also advice given to any and all adults. It's common advice for anyone with a sleep disorder. It doesn't necessarily have to be a privacy issue at all.

Funny...I did something similar and I love it. I wanted to stand up and work at the computer--which is great for keeping a toddler away and for my bad back.

I did that this past year...told them I wasn't going to pay the increase they asked me. The office hemmed and hawed and danced about it, but caved pretty quickly.

Silliness like item #3 are the reason I just put the baby in the bed with me...

That's what I *like* about FB. (:

I've had good luck with cucumber peels in the past.

What about getting a chaise and turning it the direction you need open?
