The humble, wooden spoon. It's a beautiful one, not like those cheap ones, but of a more substantial weight, hard and perfect for all sorts of cooking needs. It has the most beautiful patina as well.

Why not round ones? They come in a cotton weave in several colors. I have a couple sets of those, and they are washable and I found them at Kohl's.

I prefer to just use my immersion blender to make whipped cream. It performs beautifully and is useful in several and varied ways.

My husband found a whole bowl of them last weekend. We had them with salmon and asparagus in a cream sauce and it was really good. And we didn't have to pay a dime for them. :)

This is what we have. You could probably have more than one if you liked to sort and it would work great. We only have room for one though. :(
