I love, love, love these planters- classic and beautiful! They are attached to an amazing, open to the public, wholesale plant nursery on 36th ave near 33rd street in LIC/Astoria.
Personally, I'd go for a more solid chair to contrast with that amazing base- maybe a Panton chairs? Or, perhaps some great, simply upholstered Parsons chairs (in simple linen- to die for). Good luck!
I'm all for a pale (pale!) earthy grey- nothing too cold...but really I think the white looks fantastic as is....perhaps just some bold turqoise accents?

I love the numbers, but man...are those hands clunky....a slimmer movement would make me like that WAY better....
