I agree with the first landlord then police... but I also think you need to create a situation where you may not be the only one to blame. half the issue in experiences like this in the past that ...

Just moved this past weekend from a 2-bedroom apartment to a house. Got a truck and did it ourselves. And I am so tired it hurts to stay awake. And I have about 20 bruises all over my...

Ugh, this photo reminds me of why I HATED the claw-foot tub in my old place. I swear, it was like taking a shower in a plastic bag. Plastic. All around you. Clinging. EW.

I had a bunny in an apartment. HEre are the pros and cons: Pros: * It's something alive, other than you, in an apartment. * it's adorable * they aren't very expensive...

Wish me luck; our wedding is on Saturday. We're catering it, from our "food on sticks" appetizers (fondue, chocolate fountain) to family recipes for the dinner (rouladin, spatzle, salads, rolls, pa...

And five days after the post, Making it Lovely had a lovely daughter! Can you believe that?! New baby pic is on her website. Incredible!

Hate it! The pictures look like they're going to fall down on you... and also like they're glaring at you. Plus, it makes the ceiling feel closed-in and shorter.

Leave when it's safe. When I grew up in southern California, I experienced evacuations first-hand. You're not going to be able to fight 40 foot flames with a garden hose. I knew people who left to...

Because sometimes, one just has to pose shirtless with his cat, preferably with a far off look while thinking "how did I end up on this library ladder wearing no shirt?"...

Hurray! Wish you could tell more where the rivers are... but this is still super-neat. And looking at this makes me not feel so bad when someone lists something on craigslist, and I have no idea wh...

It's wonderful-- I use mine for a coat rack (coats with the little loops on the neck only). I can put SO many on there, mostly because they don't fall off easily. Great storage saver.

Look on overstock.com-- last time I was there, they had a few panels.

Just be careful of the cord. My friend, on her first time out with the bush cutter, cut through the extension cord. No electrocution, thankfully, but a lesson learned.

Depends; what window do you open the most? When I had my couch in front of the window, I found it harder to get to the window to open.

That bench is fabulous! Definitely an ikea hack waiting to happen. I went with the standard covered litter box, and that really reduced the spillovers and litter spray. Really though, it was only o...

A friend of mine did this too. But if you didn't flush soon enough, there would be protesting. Guess the cat didn't like the smell. I haven't trained my cats to do this; I'll just stick with the li...

It seems a temporary fix at best. Temporary as in a night or two. What's to keep the ones on the wall, frame, floor, sheets, etc from making a home on top the sheet?
