I learned a trick from my MIL, a veteran teacher. Hot glue works great to stick things to walls, and doesn't peel paint off, either! I know, it's shocking. ;-) It will hold a long time (years, she ...
Plexiglass, cut to fit and secured with elastic. You can have them drill small holes in the edges. Remotes will work through it, but hands can't. :) We had it over CD shelves, bookshelves, in front...
I'm thinking those last comments might be spam--links? to "beds"? Really?
Anyway, I think it's a smart idea. If you had kids into castle things, it would fit the theme very well--beds ...
Palmolive Eco doesn't have the phosphates in it, and if you have hard water, as I do, it will build up eventually. I called them to complain, and they suggested sort of vinegar-bombing it. It worke...
Are you planning on sealing the paint? It will get chewed, guaranteed. I was careful to choose a very hard wood crib, hoping for no scratch/chew marks, and my daughter still managed to do a number ...
When I was little (mid 70's), Mom said the regular sign she made didn't work because people would ring before reading it, so she took a photo of me napping and laminated that with "Nap Time: Please...
When I lived in Paris, I had 5 grocery stores and a big street market 3 times a week within a 2 block walk of my house. Our fridge was dinky, but there was no need for anything bigger. In America, ...
I have a spare crib mattress (bought our toddler bed on Craigslist and it came with one), which I keep under our queen sized bed for the little girl I babysit twice a week. She even pulls it out he...
A cousin of mine had two outfits, brought them to the sonogram with a gift bag, and asked the tech to put the "right" one in the bag (I'm not sure what they did with the other, probably donated or ...
My mom always gave us frozen peas in a dish to eat while she prepared dinner. I still love them, and do the same for my daughter. She adores them. Sweet, non-choke-on-able, cool and fun finger food...
My daughter went to the Bahamas at 5 months, and France at 23. It was fine, and if you're originally from there--no worries! Wipes, extra dipes, umbrella stroller to gate check, new fun cheap toys,...
Dress in layers, stuff that matches each other (same color family, etc.) For me, I go black/white/red/blue/jeans. Limit shoes--walkable, durable, adaptable. Throw in a scarf or some fabulous access...
I just got back from Paris, and much of this is the same there. While we were there I used my girlfriend's manduca (Euro version of the Ergo) and it was the bomb. Comfy for me and her (a small 23 m...
It's gorgeous! But the French word for "lime" is "citron vert". Unless there's some obscure use for it that I don't know, but I never met anyone who knew it as a "lime" unless they spoke English.
We have it in the beige/khaki/red version (which matches our kitchen.) I love it. Wish I'd used it instead of a high chair, and probably will just buy a second with kid #2 if we're so lucky as to ...

We have one very much like the very top one (Travel -in-1 by Delta Baby), I found at a garage sale for $5. I saw
Ditto on the Dog. :) Or perhaps a trainable cat?

Honeyhaze, me too. I just feel guilty, but it's not worth pumping my body full of chemicals to survive it, either. I hate allergies.

Cool! And this would totally transition for tweens, etc. Excellent. How did you do the honeycombs?

My daughter (when she was about 9 months old) named her rocking horse "Diane". We have no idea where that came from, but it stuck.
