I like their textile patterns too. Unfortunately you get what you pay for when it comes to Ikea textiles, while some of thier other stuff is good value for money.
I don't know about any mirrors but I like your exposed brickwork and the contrast with the chimney surround. If you plaster and paint it will loose character and become normal

I keep my dryer and my straightening iron on top of the radiator but our bathrobes cover it so I guess it's put away...
