This is rather wonderful. It is not what I would reflexively do, but it is so well edited that it really works. I could happily curl up her and read some Austin. Very nice.
Our bedroom is Sherwin-Williams Shagreen. It's been on our walls for three years and I still really like it. It's a very soft green. Very calming.
Just a recommendation.
I love that so many others understand the importance of greeting the cats. It is the first thing I do when I walk through the door after I have deposit my shoes outside the main entry. Then the pu...
I think there is nothing more beautiful than a kitchen that is well loved and well used. This feels very cold and sterile. There is not a single appliance on the counter. I like the wood and I re...
I second the clothes lust. I am positive I was born in the wrong decade. I prefer when covering up, not showing it all was, was sexy. Plus, it allowed you to indulge in good food and hide the af...
We live in the tower portion of an old mill building so we call our home The Tower. If we are feeling particularly cheesy will fake a french accent and call it La Tour. Not very original I'm afraid.
What is going on at the top of the cabinets? Can that plastic-y looking glass stuff be removed? If so, if you put some white or bright bowls or cookware up the it would help it feel less heavy.
I agree with irc and hyzen. I'd give it a good cleaning with a nice wood cleaner and then use it as is. You could try a nice crisp runner on the top and maybe a beautiful modern bowl.
I agree with those who say a warm, pale yellow. "Glisten Yellow" by Sherwin Williams is nice.
I adore the bed and the bureau but I wonder if the side table is a bit too heavy.

This place is perfect. It is both chic and homey. I could happily curl up with with a book and a glass of wine. This is my own personal rating system.

In New England, and I assume just about anywhere, you can find old wire milk crates at very low prices. I made a six cubby storage unit for under fifty bucks.
If you love it, I think you can work with it. The lower cushions seem to be the problem. I liked the sheepskin idea. I also like the idea of covering them in a velvet. I could see it working wit...

I just made some white bean and sausage soup. Cold and rainy weather necessitates soup.
Just wonderful. SO cheery and inviting.

It's cold and rainy in NH. I am making beef stew, a couple loaves of bread, and blondies for the hubby.

I thought my cats own my home. They are just kind enough to let me pay the mortgage.
Gorgeous! The kitchen table is my favorite. I love the pattern painted on it.
Just used leftover bread and tomatoes in a panzanella. So easy and so yummy!
Since today is International Bacon Day I am making a salmon pie with a latticed bacon "crust". I am also making lemon whoopie pies for tomorrow's bbq.

I could happily nap or read there. Well done.
