I have this handheld and here's my endorsement: It sucks flies out of the air. You have to have the aim for it, but I'm not kidding. I walked around one day just sucking them into the little canist...

We have one from my mom's library that we just to store stuff in our living room. When I got it, at least a dozen people asked where they could get one.

Fur is "green" if it's vintage - but that's the most "green" way to go with almost anything.
Synthetics are often made with ptreochemicals, so that's decidedly not green.

I use the Ball canning jars. If you use the right size they're actually quite efficient, and if your space it tall, they can be stacked (the bottoms nest into the tops nicely.)
