I have to follow up and point out the irony of this post on the heels of a recent UN and UNICEF reports showing that:

I love this color combo! The pops of turquoise are so pretty. I also really like that Rosie won't outgrow this room in a year... it has a good mix of little kid and "big girl" elements.
I read the link and it says that 43% of six to nine year olds wear lipstick. Can that possibly be true? The article says this is not about playing dress up, but rather that cosmetics are being mark...
Thanks for the info, new moms, good to know.
Boxingoctopus, it was a question, not an edict or enforcement of nanny state rules. If I were bringing food to a new mother, of course I wo...
Goat cheese is verboten during pregnancy. Are those rules lifted as soon as the baby arrives or is there a proscription on them while mom is breastfeeding?

This didn't happen to me but to some close friends. They were hosting a large anniversary dinner party for some other friends. I think there were some 20 guests invited. They bought the food, clean...
Dang, I'm with TheoJ. This room is gorgeous, my favorite entry yet. But this sudden weird flood of comments from non-regulars has my dander up. Not voting as a protest.
I love the colors, but after living in a bathroom with such tiny square tiles, I'd never install it. Way too much work to keep it clean - the grout looked nasty.

What a wonderful, handsome face on this little guy. Happy birthday!
Lovely! So cheerful. And a wonderful story too. I'm glad the birth mother picked you.
It's striking but requires continuous dusting.

Wow! Amazing colors, very inspiring not to be afraid of saturated hues.

What a happy room to see on this rainy day. Lovely.
LoveLamp, play nice with the people who actually contribute to this board.

You mean Katharine Hepburn?
I love this, but "refer to your local dealer for prices" usually means if you have to ask, you can't afford it.
This strikes me as a serious fire hazard. The lamp doesn't appear secure in the open looped wire end of the rickety stand.
