I'm with you plumeria. I go for the quick micro method (although I haven't bought strawberries in months, this post is making me reconsider. I sure miss them!)

The shadow in the wine glass is really creepy! I recently saw a piece on tv about people who collect pictures with ghosts in them and this made me think of that!

I recently made this recipe also. Here's the trick to flipping--a fish spatula! That's right. I didn't have any problems at all. :) This recipe sounds weird but tastes fantastic so give it a try. T...

Making the blue cheese fondue dip from this week's NYT.

Made Heavenly hots (pancakes) from the recipe in the NT Times; made cheesy grits from my southern living grits cookbook; and made a potato gratin from a new gratin cookbook. Everything...

This sounds good, but can you tell me any of the nutritional info? :)

It just depends! I think that most potatoes are too starchy and when I've used my blender the immediate result is a gluey potato substance. HOWEVER, if you refridgerate these potatoes after blendin...

Thanks, Faith! That sounds awesome. I love casseroles and look forward to your book. :)

What casserole appears in the second photo?

I actually really love the trash can. I wonder how well it contains smells. My apartment is very small and there's no space for a trashcan except under the sink (and a full size one won't fit). Thi...

I just bought the cookbook Glorious Grits by Southern Living. It has lots of good ideas that are filling, inexpensive and meat-free (or adaptable to be meat free). :) I highly recommend checking it...

I am always willing to go out for Indian and Japanese food. It's nice to have someone else cook--especially items that are time consuming or expensive to buy yourself. That said, I almost never go ...

Hope I win! We don't own a blender and have wanted this one for awhile. I would happily make breakfast smooties, puree soups, make pesto...the possibilities are endless!

I'm glad it's not just me! I've been wondering what's with the cheese hankering.

I've seen plenty of pie birds, but none with a dish attached! I hope someone can solve this mystery. :)

I love the gratin dishes too.

This is also my family's secret brownie recipe. :) A crowd pleaser every single time!

There's a cake recipe (I think it's called the Big Mac Cake) that also looks like a hamburger. I made it several years ago and it looked great and tasted good. I did add eyes though. :)

Does anyone know where the prints on the wall came from? I especially love the top row that look like stamps.
