This is a little more than just an outlet, though, because the charger is supplied. It is bound to be more economical than buying a spare charger if you've forgotten (or checked) yours.

Fitting that this was in Finland; the one cell phone I've ever been tempted to run over with a car was a Nokia.

A clear glass vase through which you can see the water level is also pretty low tech.

The angle of the hanger looks to me to be about the same as your typical coat hanger; anyway, if you fasten the top of your coat, it shouldn't fall off.

None of the above... or all of the above... I burned all my CDs but kept the CDs (in sleeves and then in boxes, rather than in jewel cases).

It's a cool hanger. $32 is not unreasonable if you buy one or two to hang coats from a hook in your entryway. No need to replace every hanger in your closet.

I love coming home from a long enough trip that when I get back, it's like I'm seeing the city with fresh eyes. It's familiar and strange at the same time.

Weird. The stated dimensions for the Lahde are nearly square, but from the picture it definitely looks rectangular.

The reptile tile is genius.

What a great idea. I love the idea of the letter tile placecards, which identify the theme without hitting you over the head with it.

The first picture looks like a generic bachelor's apartment (except for the CRT TV). The second picture looks like said bachelor got a gift certificate to Pier 1 for his birthday.

Or their certificate of occupancy or something.
