I love this!

I like this a lot but I think I would use IKEA Lack shelves for a cleaner look.

The first thing I would do is paint the inside of the alcove the pale blue in the painting...Get a taller lamp and add some flowers to the buffet.

I am thinking of using ours as a valance also, but I have two smaller windows so I would need to do a lot more cutting/sewing.

love this! Great job :-)

I don't care for the decor, but I am amused by all the ruffled feathers of those who just love to hate her for any reason they can find.

ridiculous. I like the high chair, but it is also overpriced. We got the Ikea Antilop this weekend (found out abut it here) for $20 and it can be pulled right up to the table...and for another $5 y...

This reminds me of a story on NPR that I heard about the recycled rubber playgrounds and fields in NYC. Apparently they are incredible heat magnets and can get well over 100 degrees on a sunny day!...

My first thought was to paint it white with a turquoise interior...but I like the other ideas too! with or without the glass, it's a great shape...

Also, maybe if you get rid of one table, you could get a loveseat or something to create a lounging area since that glider seems all alone in the corner..

I agree with everyone that one table would probably be good. Something expandable to get the best of both worlds. Also agree on the color ideas and minimizing the existing wood that you have alread...

yes please!

I think a lovely pale turquoise would be really pretty...a bit brighter than gray but still matches and would be great with the red light!

I was wondering the same thing. I think it's a great idea, but one that has been proliferating in dorm rooms across America for years :-)

yes please!!! This would be perfect timing!

Wow thanks so much everyone! I will definitely switch to the IKEA chair! I had no idea it even exisisted and it's exactly what we want. The main thing is having something that isn't bulky and can b...
