Love this place, really stylish but homey at the same time. The dining chairs are wonderful as are the paintings.
I second Emily the Cat's request for a simple floor plan; I too was ha...
Larchgirl I am shocked!
Go for your big lamp and tulip table if it would make you happy!!!! And if anyone makes a derogatory comment it would only be due to intense envy on their part.
Was the point of the exercise to get as much Bloomingdale's merchandise as possible into one small room? If so, then my congratulations... if not then the only thing that really pleases my eye is t...
I like Shanti's analogy of comparing it to clothing. There's no reason why you can't combine a beautiful cashmere coat with a H&M scarf, and with furniture it's the same.
I don't know...
Wonderful home, just oozes personality and warmth. I love the family portrait (now that I know the story behind it!), the room-divider shelves beside the sofa and the fantastic built-in under the s...
Kittie,
I am enormously impressed by your wonderful little home, especially the closet and office which are inspirational and truly what AT is about.
I also appreciate you...
Very very nice!!! I think the old and new work very well.
And I love the little orange TV... how many otherwise attractive rooms are ruined by ginormous flatscreen monstrosities? Final...
Most of us let things go a bit now and then, that's only natural, we've got lives to live.

When I was 25 and had just finished college, my place looked no better than this either.

Brittany dear, I have got just one word for you! Spoonflower.com
The first wall unit is nice, but horrendously over-priced, sorry! There's no way that's worth more than $500 and anyone who pays it deserves to!
Gorgeous place!

This is my favourite too, although I think there are better on apartmenttherapy every day. At least it's not as claustrophobic as the other two.

I just think it looks busy and fussy; more grandmother of two than mother of two.
Love tin ceiling tiles, and these are cunning ways of incorporating them into our homes. Thanks for the inspiration.

Am I the only one who likes complete quiet for sleeping? All air con/ fans etc must be switched off too.
It's not just you Vivlai... but I'd still like one! Cheers!
What's wrong with purple and glam? I think it's very chic; the curved wall and tape effect are great too!
That's amusing!
