Anyone have any ideas for shades or curtains for tilt and turn windows? They open about 3 inches at the top. If I put up normal curtains, it really impedes the airflow, but a projecting pelmet look...
I just posted two sets of furniture - well priced - on the classifieds - also posted on craigslist. if anyone needs a huge wall unit, sort of countryish style, super reasonable, check it out. Couc...
A few weeks ago, I saw a candle holder on a blog and now that I've decided to invest, I can't find it again.
It was a table top candle holder, looked like the bottom of a circle. The inside ...
I had a similar situation - a cat peed on a rug, and although we cleaned it up (and lifted and put a pad under the rug), it seemed to soak through. We used nature's miracle, which took care of the ...
I think you made a valiant effort. If this were me, I would try and use the vertical space better, and try to open things up with that - like the corner shelf business. This is about 2000% better ...
OK, I'm sure you all are really lovely interesting entertaining people, but the record collection just puts into context a lot of the comments that you seemed to fight against during the nine-month...
I think this is cool. It has a cohesive theme that ties the place together. I think that with a little more creativity, however, the strong points could really shine through. Chris and Elayne have ...
For some reason, I am having a hard time picturing this as staying white. Last time I was in Athens (2002), the pollution was terrible. We left our window open in the hotel, and when we moved the p...
Judes,
The reason for the "heat" was not that they had a low rent or that they were creative types. The issue is that there are a limited number of rent regulated units in the city; they ann...
Macys used to have an incredible furniture care package - when something spills, you call them and they send people out to you to clean it. This is an added cost but I have friends with 3 kids and...

I have a pocket door on an ensuite bathroom. I would not recommend it for opening to a living area as it does not give complete privacy.
This is a little "hints from heloise" for my taste. It seems like it would be a pain to get those dish cloths in and out of there.

Love the bookshelves. What are they?
love the couch. On the bathroom, is there a door on the shower?Or does the layout make the water from the shower not scatter all over?

I love the bedroom wall color. Do you mind sharing the name of that color?

I need this. I would even give Astech the choice of closet space to rehabilitate.
I like this, but it does look a little like a catalogue and not like a home. But maybe that's Luca's aesthetic. I'm drooling over the storage.
I think this has a lot of good takeaways on the storage issue, but it feels very cramped with the big furniture. Love the closet/wall solution.

Reno in the LBD. Love it. (Not crazy about the finished product but chacun a son gout). I think this deserves some sort of gift card.
