I've made this fantastic mushroom casserole from 101 Cookbooks with 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 barley, cooked together in a rice cooker as you would cook rice. It turned out fantastic!
I agree with the posters above...hoppy ales or crisp lagers go quite nicely with stir-fry. IPAs or Pale Ales like Deschutes, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, and Oskar Blues Dale's Pale would all go nicely.

Good call on the Sam winter! Out here on the west coast I've been really enjoying the Sierra Nevada Celebration ale. I've heard the Alaskan Winter ale is also nice. Cheers everyone!
